How it works

Three steps. Zero effort.

From plain tiles to a gallery-grade grid — in about the time it takes to make coffee.

01

Search

Type any game name and browse live artwork results straight from SteamGridDB.

02

Choose

Every style is there — verticals, banners, grids, logos. Pick the one that fits.

03

Download

It's just a PNG, so it lands on disk almost instantly — then apply it to Lutris with one click.

Install

Flip the card for your flavour.

Flatpak runs on every distribution; .deb and .rpm drop straight into your package manager — and Bazzite gets rpm-ostree. Click a card to see the command.

Sandboxed, auto-updating, and it runs on any distribution — immutable or not.

FAQ

Everything you might want to know before your library gets its glow-up.

Which games can I use it for?+

Any game you can find on SteamGridDB. Search the title, choose the artwork you like, and set it as the cover for any game in your Lutris library.

Do I really need a SteamGridDB API key?+

Yes — but it's free. Create a SteamGridDB account, grab an API key from your profile settings, and enter it once in LCAD. That's the whole setup.

How fast are the downloads, really?+

Almost instant. LCAD downloads plain PNG files — there's nothing to encode, convert or process — so even large artwork lands in a moment.

Which distributions are supported?+

Designed for immutable and standard distributions alike — the Flatpak runs anywhere Flatpak is supported, and .deb / .rpm packages cover apt- and dnf-based distros.

Is it really free?+

Completely. LCAD is open source under the MIT License — free to use, modify and share. If you love it, a star on GitHub is the best tip there is.
